Bharti Airtel Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Bharti Enterprises, recently held an investiture ceremony to honour 282 talented students from its distinguished Bharti Airtel Scholarship Program. The ceremony, held in New Delhi, recognised the academic excellence of Bharti Scholars from various socioeconomic backgrounds studying technology at India's top 50 National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) engineering institutions.
The Legacy of Quality Education
Founded in 2000, Bharti Airtel Foundation works with a vision, "To help underprivileged children and youth of the country realise their potential." The foundation works in a space where quality education is of the utmost importance, with a special emphasis on female children while supporting higher education programs in partnership with premier institutions.
Furthermore, since 2013, the Quality Support Program (QSP) has expanded the reach of quality education by transferring the program's learning and best practices to nearly 4 lakh kids studying in 1,000 partner government schools across 12 states/UTs.
In fact, the Bharti Airtel Foundation has long been dedicated to empowering young minds through quality education. Thus, to achieve this, the foundation has established a scholarship program.
If we talk about the scholarship program, it is a merit-cum-means-based scholarship program that caters to students enrolled in undergraduate technology courses and five-year integrated programs at top NIRF engineering institutes. In fact, it covers 100% of annual fees for the duration of the course, including meal and accommodation charges for those who apply. Under this scheme, each Bharti Scholar also receives a laptop in their first year to assist with their studies.
